After
completing his degree in Communication Science, Christopher Newberry
worked for several years with voluntary organisations, including
Shelter, where he developed a strong interest and understanding
of the not-for-profit sector. He chaired an effective homelessness
campaign and pressure group. Later he returned to producing audiovisual,
printed and, most recently, electronic media. He has written and
produced documentary and educational television and radio in Britain
and abroad for BBC Education, BBC World Service, EFS Television,
Loftus Productions and others. He has been a media producer for
organisations such as the Housing Corporation, Citizens Advice Bureau,
Community Health Council, Advice Services Alliance, many housing
associations and more. He is bilingual in Spanish and English and
fluent in French. He is married with two teenage boys and two Border
Collies .

Frances
Cox is a creative and experienced media producer, who has implemented
educational and training projects from Mexico to Afghanistan for
the BBC World Service and the British Council. After doing a degree
in History of Art at Sussex University she worked in the voluntary
sector for several years, principally in the fields of housing,
at Shelter, and the law, at South Islington Law Centre, which she
helped set up. While in Mexico, she trained as a language teacher
and brought her skills to the BBC World Service where she became
a radio producer. Through several promotions, Frances went on to
be regional editor, in charge of the Middle East and Africa. She
has a great deal of experience writing and producing educational
and training materials in a range of audiovisual formats. She is
married with two boys and a dog. |
